"Find your smile" is a meaningful activity of AVAKids, which include screening and surgery for hundreds of lip deformities.

Following an event in June in Ho Chi Minh City, the AVAKids Smile Fund collaborated with Operation Smile Vietnam and travelled to examine 130 children with lip and cleft palates from Son La and nearby regions. 80 children who met the health criteria were given medical records, screened and tested to enter the surgery period from September 23 to September 27 at Son La General Hospital.

Accompanying the AVAKids Smile Fund on this occasion, hundreds of medical volunteers from Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital and E Hospital in Hanoi. Mr Doan Van Hieu Em - CEO of The Gioi Di Dong Joint Stock Company (owner of the AVAKids brand), and a representative group from Ho Chi Minh City also come to Son La to visit children and their families.

After 2 hours, the first babies out of anesthesia were brought out of the operating room with their lips gradually healed, bandages protecting the stitches.

In 2022, the AVAKids Smile Fund was born as a meaningful opportunity, extending the journey from the heart, finding a bright smile for many children and a satisfied smile for disadvantaged families.

Accompanied by AVAKids, the representative of Operation Smile Vietnam said that these 550 surgeries are of great significance when accounting for a quarter of the surgeries the organization calls for to be performed each year. Every year, about 3,000 babies in Vietnam are born with cleft lip and palate, needing social resources to change their lives.
