MWG Recognized Among Viet Nam’s Top 30 Outstanding Green Energy and Environment Enterprises 2026

On July 8 in Hanoi, Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG) was honored among the Top 30 Outstanding Green Energy and Environment Enterprises of Viet Nam 2026 at the World Energy and Environment - Viet Nam 2026 Forum, held under the theme “Vietnam’s Pathway to Net Zero.”

The forum was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang, Chairman of the National Council for Sustainable Development, together with more than 500 delegates representing government ministries and agencies, local authorities, international organizations, diplomatic missions, business associations, and domestic and international enterprises. The program recognizes pioneering businesses that demonstrate outstanding achievements in energy efficiency, environmental protection, and the implementation of solutions supporting Viet Nam’s net-zero emissions target.

The Top 30 ranking is organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), with an independent assessment conducted in collaboration with the World Energy Council (WEC) and a panel of sustainability experts. Companies were evaluated against a comprehensive framework covering ESG commitments, greenhouse gas emissions reduction, renewable energy adoption, cleaner production, waste management, environmentally friendly products and services, sustainability training, ESG reporting in accordance with the GRI Standards, environmental management systems (ISO 14001 or equivalent), and green building certifications.

Climate change has become one of the world's most pressing challenges, with far-reaching impacts on economic and social development. As a rapidly growing and highly open economy with rising energy demand, Viet Nam is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change. At the forum, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang emphasized that businesses should regard green transformation and ESG integration not only as a strategic imperative but also as an opportunity to strengthen long-term competitiveness.

The recognition reflects MWG’s long-standing commitment to sustainable development. Guided by ESG principles, the Company continues to pursue sustainable business growth while protecting the environment, fulfilling its social responsibilities, and creating long-term value for stakeholders, in line with its philosophy of “placing sustainability at the heart of all action”.

From an Environmental perspective, MWG continues to improve energy efficiency through IoT-powered energy management systems, rooftop solar installations, and a nationwide network of electric vehicle charging stations, contributing to emissions reduction and green transformation. On the Social front, the Company implements a wide range of community initiatives, including sponsoring cleft lip and palate surgeries for underprivileged children, providing scholarships, organizing blood donation campaigns, and supporting various social welfare programs. In terms of Governance, MWG focuses on strengthening transparent corporate governance, improving operational efficiency, enhancing risk management, publishing ESG reports in accordance with the GRI Standards, and leveraging technology to safeguard stakeholder interests.

Built on a foundation of transparent governance, technological innovation, and operational excellence, MWG continues to develop a modern retail ecosystem that creates sustainable value for stakeholders while contributing to Viet Nam's green growth agenda and its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions.

Alongside its sustainability initiatives, MWG has maintained strong business momentum throughout 2026. During the first five months of the year, the Company recorded consolidated revenue of VND 79.159 trillion, up 29.3% year-on-year, fulfilling 43% of its full-year target. Its key business chains continued to deliver positive performance, with Điện Máy Xanh posting nearly 33% year-on-year growth, Bách Hóa Xanh increasing revenue by approximately 22.5% while opening 532 new stores, and EraBlue, MWG's joint venture in Indonesia, continuing to expand its footprint and sustain strong growth.

Meanwhile, Điện Máy Xanh Investment Corporation (DMX), a member of the MWG ecosystem, successfully completed its initial public offering (IPO), raising more than VND 13.315 trillion (equivalent to over USD 500 million). Following the IPO, DMX is expected to be listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) in early August 2026. The landmark transaction not only marks a significant milestone in the Company's development but also reflects investors' confidence in the long-term growth potential of the MWG ecosystem.
