In recent days, the Southern provinces have experienced prolonged heat waves; in some areas of the Mekong Delta drought and saline intrusion have occurred, directly affecting the production and livelihoods of the people. Many households have faced difficulties in accessing fresh water for daily use, particularly in Tan Phuoc commune, Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province. Since early March, residents in this area have frequently lacked fresh water for daily use, causing many challenges in their daily lives.

Given this situation, on May 5, 2024, Bach Hoa Xanh launched the program "Free Distribution of Fresh Water - Standing Together with the Community to Cope with Saline Intrusion" in Tan Phuoc commune, Go Cong Dong district, Tien Giang province, providing more than 1000 free drinking water bottles. The program received enthusiastic responses from the local people.

In addition to these volunteer activities, Bach Hoa Xanh also demonstrated care and sharing by launching the program "Standing with Residents to cope with Salinity Intrusion" from April 26 to May 22 at 3 Bach Hoa Xanh supermarkets in Go Cong Dong district: Tan Hoa branch, Binh An branch, and Tan Phuoc branch.

Bach Hoa Xanh hopes these actions will provide significant encouragement and additional strength for the people to overcome this difficult period. This is part of MWG's Sustainable Development commitments aimed at contributing practical values to the community and efforts to collaborate with stakeholders to adapt to and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
