On September 25th, intending to assist affected communities in stabilizing and rebuilding their lives, Dien May XANH, in collaboration with its partners, officially launched the "A Million Full Meals - Together Overcoming Hardships" campaign, donating 10,000 rice cookers to those affected by storms and floods.
The campaign commenced in Pho Rang town, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province. It will extend to the provinces of Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, and Yen Bai. The initiative, bearing the slogan "A Million Full Meals - Together Overcoming Hardships," conveys the message that each rice cooker is not merely a household item, but a token of Dien May XANH’s commitment to easing the burdens of those affected and provides moral support during trying times. While the scale of assistance may not be vast, it serves to empower families, offering strength and motivation as they work toward restoring normalcy. The campaign aims to bring warmth and unity through family meals, following the significant losses endured by the community.
Dien May XANH is honored to collaborate with five major partners - Kangaroo, Sunhouse, Toshiba, Sharp, and Bluestone - on this meaningful initiative. Thanks to the enthusiastic involvement of these partners, 10,000 rice cookers were swiftly prepared and distributed to the affected households. This collective effort highlights the corporate social responsibility of these businesses in supporting and standing alongside communities in need during difficult times.
Residents of Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province, expressed their deep gratitude and joy upon receiving these thoughtful donations from the businesses. These contributions not only address immediate material needs but also provide essential emotional support, serving as a vital source of encouragement as the community embarks on the path to recovery.
Beyond this campaign, Dien May XANH has led numerous large-scale charitable endeavors. Notable efforts include the "Soft Rice - Warm Kitchen" program in 2020, which provided 10,000 rice cookers to disadvantaged households in mountainous regions. In 2021, the company donated 1,000 tons of rice to families in need through the "Shared Tet" program, followed by the "A Million Acts of Kindness - A Thousand Tons of Rice" initiative, which distributed 2,000 tons of rice to residents in 23 southern provinces affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Following storms and floods, Dien May XANH has regularly organized deep-discount sales to further support affected communities.
Subsidiaries under the The Gioi Di Dong umbrella, such as An Khang Pharmacy and Avakids, also contribute to corporate social responsibility initiatives. An Khang has organized 18 programs offering free medical examinations and medicine distribution to 9,000 elderly and vulnerable individuals. Avakids, through its partnership with the Operation Smile fund, sponsors free cleft palate surgeries for underprivileged children, working alongside the Ho Chi Minh City Dental Hospital and other leading hospitals. Seven programs have been carried out in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Gia Lai, and Thai Nguyen, providing surgeries for nearly 500 children.
In prior efforts, MWG (Mobile World Group) contributed 5 billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s fund to support flood-stricken regions. The company has also extended support to employees and their families impacted by Typhoon Yagi.
