The Gioi Di Dong JSC (a member of MWG) has participated in Green Deposit program of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), Ho Chi Minh City Branch. This investment has demonstrated MWG’s commitment to supporting green financial initiatives, fostering economic growth while ensuring environment protection.
The Green Deposits from MWG are managed based on the “SMBC Green Deposit Framework”, which was established with the support of Sustainalytics – a leading ESG rating agency. Accordingly, all funds received as Green Deposits from customers will be allocated to eligible green projects that positively impact the environment, such as renewable energy development , resource efficiency enhancement, pollution prevention and control, clean transportation as well as green buildings.
The investment in SMBC Green Deposit marks a significant milestone in MWG’s development journey that not only secures financial returns but also contributes to our sustainable development targets. MWG will continue to pursue green financial solutions while collaborating with investors, partners, banks and community in shaping a green and environmentally friendly future.

On December 31, 2024, at the Ho Chi Minh City State Treasury headquarters, financial sector units held a press conference to announce the 2024 state budget revenue and expenditure results, along with financial and budgetary plans for 2025. The event gathered leaders from key municipal departments, including the City People’s Committee, the City People’s Council, the Party Committee Office, the Department of Finance, the Tax Department, and the Customs Department. Representatives from Thu Duc City, various districts, and 59 major tax-contributing businesses also attended.
