Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG) has announced a VND 5 billion donation to sponsor 550 cleft lip and palate surgeries for underprivileged children in Vietnam. This initiative is implemented in collaboration with Operation Smile, a global non-profit organization dedicated to providing free, life-changing surgeries for children with facial deformities.

The announcement was made at the grand opening of AVAKids' 50th store - MWG’s mother-and-baby retail chain - held in early June. This milestone not only marks the brand’s rapid growth but also highlights MWG’s deepened investment in social impact initiatives.

In Vietnam, an estimated 3,000 children are born each year with cleft lip or palate. Many of them are unable to receive timely treatment due to financial constraints, significantly affecting their quality of life and future prospects. MWG’s sponsorship offers these children a second chance - restoring their smiles and their hope.

As of December 2023, AVAKids's Smile Fund had completed 451 surgeries across 6 provinces, with a total contribution of approximately VND 4.51 billion.
