After 18 months of continuous efforts, the “Tam An Than Khang” journey-organized by An Khang Pharmacy-has come to a meaningful close in Cà Mau Province, the southernmost point of Vietnam. The journey concluded with over 9,000 people receiving free health check-ups and medical care, marking numerous memorable milestones along the way.

Traveling through 18 remote and underserved areas with limited access to healthcare, the journey brought together hundreds of doctors and volunteers. At each stop, 500 people-mostly elderly individuals and workers facing financial hardship-were examined and provided with free medication. Many of them had long been concerned about their health but lacked the means for proper medical treatment.

This was the largest and longest-running charitable initiative ever carried out by An Khang Pharmacy. Throughout the campaign, thousands of prescriptions were issued, and more importantly, 9,000 stories of relief, support, and compassion were shared across 18 meaningful medical outreach events.

Thanks to this impactful journey, many health conditions were detected early, improving treatment outcomes, reducing medical costs, and enhancing recovery prospects. In addition, patients received valuable health advice and lifestyle guidance—helping them recognize and correct harmful habits to boost their well-being and prevent future illnesses.

Many participants couldn’t hide their joy and emotion upon receiving free medical check-ups and thoughtful, professional care. Beyond medical examinations and prescription distribution, at each location, the “Tam An Than Khang” journey also offered meaningful gifts—though modest in value, they were rich in care and health benefits. These included joint support supplements, bird’s nest drinks, rice, face masks, and more—symbolizing heartfelt support and a hope to ease people’s burdens while encouraging them to stay strong in both body and spirit.

Speaking about the program, Mr. Nguyễn Đình Quỳnh, National Sales Director of An Khang, shared: 

“Tam An Than Khang journey is not just a charitable activity—it is An Khang’s way of giving back to the community. We understand that health is the most valuable asset one can have, yet not everyone has the opportunity to access quality healthcare. Through this initiative, An Khang hopes to contribute in a meaningful way to help people improve their health—so they can move forward in life with greater peace of mind.”

Beyond the powerful numbers, the Tam An Than Khang journey is also made up of heartfelt stories and touching moments. These are the stories of people with disabilities and those living in difficult circumstances in remote areas—individuals who have long lacked access to medical care. They include the elderly who have silently endured seasonal aches and pains for years, too hesitant to seek treatment due to financial hardship.

Now, thanks to the Tam An Than Khang journey, they have finally been able to receive free healthcare—bringing not only medical support, but also hope and compassion to those who need it most.

After more than a year of implementation, the Tam An Than Khang journey reached its final stop in Cà Mau at the end of 2023—concluding a heartfelt mission fueled by the dedication and unity of countless individuals and organizations. It was a journey made possible by the unwavering commitment of doctors and volunteers who overcame long distances to bring joy and healthcare to those in need.

The success of this initiative was also thanks to the strong support from local Red Cross chapters and government authorities in various districts and provinces. Their close coordination with An Khang played a key role in the smooth and effective organization of all 18 medical outreach events.
