AVAKids is committed to supporting 5 billion VND, equivalent to 500 smile surgeries for children, through the Operation Smile organization

Extending the social responsibility activities of MWG

On the occasion of the milestone of 50 AVAKids stores, MWG announced a donation of 5 billion VND to Operation Smile, equivalent to 500 smile surgeries for children with cleft lip and cleft palate. This contribution contributes to affirming the philosophy of AVAKids in becoming a brand that understands and accompanies Vietnamese families and children.

Miss Huong Giang - Development Manager of Operation Smile Fund recounted: "When MWG contacted Operation Smile to say it would sponsor 500 surgeries, the program makers were very surprised, there is a Vietnamese business partner who has committed to sponsor such a large amount, which accounts for a quarter of Operation Smile surgery that will be performed in the next year…”.

Towards the benefit of Vietnamese children

The children were born unlucky, with smile defects, in which many families could not afford early surgery for their children. The shared arm from benefactors is an opportunity for families.

Doan Van Hieu Em - General Director of The Gioi Di Dong shared: "Through this contribution, AVAKids wishes to accompany and share with parents, not only in the journey of raising their children to adulthood but also from the beginning of life. The first happiness in life is to find the precious smile of a child again.

Previously, MWG also participated in a charity auction to raise VND 1.5 billion for smile surgery for children, through Operation Smile.

Children living with cleft lip and cleft palate are not only disadvantaged in appearance but also have to endure many health risks, from problems with eating, nutrition, respiratory diseases... Besides It is also a great challenge in terms of communication and mental health. Changing your smile is also changing your destiny.

Doing business in the field of mom and baby is both full of opportunities and challenges because this is an industry associated with the health and quality of life of children. By the end of this year, the AVAKids chain plan to open up to 200 stores nationwide, with the number of items possibly up to 5,000, meeting the "package" needs of mothers and babies.

With this strength, resources to help children will still be winged. AVAKids said they will not stop at 500 surgeries with Operation Smile.

In the immediate future, from June 6, a week after announcing the contribution of VND 5 billion to Operation Smile, the smile surgery program "AVAKids Smile" was held at My Thien Odonto-Stomatology Hospital. Families are not only supported with surgery costs but also with travel and accommodation costs, with the volunteer contribution of AVAKids staff.
