On August 28, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Forum 2025 – A New Era for Green Growth organized by Saigon Times Group, Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG) was honored with the “Green Star 2025” title. MWG ranked among the Top 22 pioneering enterprises recognized for their positive initiatives in aligning business goals with environmental and social responsibility, thereby inspiring the business community on the path to sustainability.

Mr. Trieu Thanh Thinh, the person in charged of  ESG at MWG, represented the company to receive the “Green Star” title at the forum.

For many years, MWG has remained steadfast in pursuing a sustainable development strategy with concrete and effective actions. Notably, in 2024, the company deployed rooftop solar systems at 643 locations, reducing more than 5,000 tons of CO₂ and saving 15% – 20% in electricity costs. Moving into 2025, MWG aims to expand this initiative to 400 additional sites, further increasing the proportion of renewable energy across its operations.

In parallel, MWG is accelerating the adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) in management and operations. IoT deployment enhances customer experience, automates processes, optimizes energy consumption, reduces emissions, and cuts costs. In 2025, MWG will extend its IoT project to an additional 2,500 stores nationwide, thereby reinforcing its ESG commitments and advancing a green and smart retail model.

Enterprises honored with the “Green Star” recognition

In addition to being recognized in the “Green Star” category, in 2025, MWG was also awarded the title of “Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards in Vietnam" in the category of Carbon Footprint Reduction, marking its persistent efforts in integrating growth with environmental and social responsibility. In July 2025, Forbes Vietnam also honored MWG in the "Top 50 Best Listed Companies 2025", in which MWG impressively ranked in the Top 3 overall, reaffirming its strong transformation and effective business strategies over the past year.

Recognition from prestigious organizations serves as a great encouragement for MWG to continue refining its operations toward higher standards of transparency, modernization, and accountability. It also reaffirms MWG’s commitment to contributing to Vietnam’s Net Zero 2050 target, step by step moving toward a sustainable future with the philosophy: “Putting Sustainability at the heart of everything we do.”
