On October 11, representatives of Bách Hóa XANH participated in a conference summarizing the first year of the cooperation agreement for socio-economic development between Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Coastal provinces. The event, held in Quy Nhơn City, Bình Định Province, also launched the action plan for the 2024-2025 phase. During this period, Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces will continue to promote bilateral cooperation across various fields, aiming to enhance competitiveness and drive sustainable growth throughout the region.

Several concrete collaborative efforts have been identified, such as introducing OCOP products into distribution systems in Ho Chi Minh City and increasing visibility among its population of over 10 million, gradually establishing a robust trade and commerce relationship.

During the conference, Mr. Tran Thanh Danh, Central Region Sales Director of Bách Hóa XANH, presented “Demand and Solutions for Developing Distribution Systems in Central Coastal Provinces.”

Participants, including businesses, investors, and experts from Ho Chi Minh City and Central Coastal provinces, contributed actionable ideas and recommendations. These suggestions will shape cooperation strategies for socio-economic development in each locality and the broader region. The 2024-2025 period will focus on sharing experiences and transferring technology, especially in areas of Ho Chi Minh City’s strengths, such as information technology, the digital economy, services, and developing logistics systems.

In his concluding remarks, the Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Mr. Dương Ngọc Hải, urged local leaders to continue prioritizing and supporting the cooperation program. The action plan includes 11 regional events and 11 bilateral activities, focusing on investment promotion, trade, tourism, healthcare, education, and training.

Mr. Hai emphasized, “Ho Chi Minh City remains committed to supporting the economic development of the Central Coastal provinces and facilitating product consumption. We hope businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces will enhance trade connections, promote investment, and share expertise in management and production to grow together.”
