With the goal of supporting the development of highly skilled and ethical pharmacists, An Khang Pharmacy has been actively working with universities across Vietnam to create a practical, meaningful internship program. This program helps students gain real-world experience, develop professional ethics, and strengthen their commitment to serving the community.
On the afternoon of July 14, An Khang officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with eight universities and colleges offering pharmacy programs, under the framework of the initiative “Paving the Way for the Future – 10/10 Pharmacists.” Launched in 2019, this initiative bridges the gap between academic training and professional practice, and affirms An Khang’s long-term commitment to supporting students on their journey to becoming professional pharmacists.
The key goal of this partnership is to develop and promote a sustainable internship model that closely connects theory with practice.
Through this collaboration, pharmacy students will be able to participate in free internships at nearly 350 GPP-standard An Khang pharmacies across the country. Each student will be mentored by experienced, highly qualified pharmacists and trained in a professional environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.
In addition to providing internship evaluations, An Khang also works closely with partner universities to design a clear training roadmap—before, during, and after the internship. This roadmap is tailored to align with real-world pharmacy practice and helps students improve their core skills. Beyond professional knowledge, students will also receive training in soft skills such as communication, consultation, and problem-solving—essential abilities for serving customers but often not emphasized in academic settings. Notably, students who perform well during their internships may be offered full-time positions at An Khang after graduation.
For years, An Khang has supported generations of pharmacy students by providing real-world training opportunities at its modern, GPP-certified pharmacies.
The “Paving the Way for the Future – 10/10 Pharmacists” program is not only an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and job prospects, but also a model for effective collaboration between educational institutions and businesses. The shared goal is to nurture a new generation of pharmacists who are both highly competent and deeply committed to their profession.
At the MoU signing ceremony, Mr. Đoàn Văn Hiểu Em – CEO of An Khang Pharmacy – emphasized:
“This is more than just a cooperation agreement. It marks an important step in fulfilling An Khang Pharmacy’s commitment to providing Vietnamese people with transparent, convenient, and compassionate healthcare. The most sustainable way for us to achieve this is by training a new generation of pharmacists who are not only skilled, but also uphold strong professional ethics.”
This vision reflects An Khang’s core philosophy as a healthcare business that places kindness at the heart of its operations. With a people-first approach, An Khang follows four core values in all its activities: putting patient health at the center, ensuring transparency, upholding kindness as the standard, and serving with dedication.
These values are reflected in recent initiatives such as waiving dose-splitting fees, offering online access to drug information, integrating pharmacy services with the VNeID app, and enabling quick doctor appointment bookings via Medpro.
An Khang believes that the combination of educational principles from universities and the ethical, service-oriented culture of its pharmacy system will help shape a new generation of pharmacists who are not only knowledgeable, but also ethical, confident, and committed to community service.
To maintain these standards, An Khang considers human resources its top priority. Pharmacists are not only responsible for dispensing medications—they also play a key role in spreading a culture of kind and professional service. By proactively partnering with universities to train and mentor students, An Khang is not only investing in its future workforce but also fulfilling its social responsibility in a practical and sustainable way.
In the second half of 2025, An Khang plans to open 120 to 150 new pharmacies, especially in areas with limited access to quality healthcare. This expansion is expected to create hundreds of internship and employment opportunities for pharmacy students nationwide.
From a broader perspective, this partnership model between An Khang and educational institutions not only addresses staffing needs but also contributes to the long-term development of the pharmacy profession. By connecting classrooms with real-world practice, future pharmacists will graduate with both strong professional skills and the practical experience needed to serve the community with confidence and care.
