On August 2, 2024, Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG) was honored for the third time in the Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards 2024.

Mr. Trieu Thanh Thinh, Head of Sustainability - ESG, represented MWG to receive the Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises Award organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine in Ho Chi Minh City on August 2, 2024.

This is an annual program organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine, recognizing enterprises in three categories: FDI enterprises, listed enterprises, and non-listed enterprises. The program's appraisal council includes leaders from Nhip Cau Dau Tu magazine, HSBC Bank, PwC Vietnam, the Institute for Circular Economy Development (ICED), Schneider Electric Vietnam, Talentnet, and Mekong Capital.

This recognition reflects the relentless efforts of the entire corporation on this journey. In recent years, MWG has proactively introduced initiatives and collaborated with stakeholders to implement projects that contribute positively to environmental and social activities.

In the Environmental aspect, MWG has implemented initiatives to minimize negative impacts on the environment, raise awareness, and call for joint efforts from stakeholders in its value chain. Notable initiatives include the installation of rooftop solar energy systems in stores, the use of biodegradable bags, calling for stakeholders to reduce plastic use, recycling posters and banners, and running a nationwide old battery collection program in supermarkets.

Regarding the Social aspect, the corporation actively carries out community development activities and projects, from environmental protection and community support to improving the quality of life for people. These include the "Journey for Peace and Health," which provided free medical examinations and medication for over 9,000 disadvantaged people in 18 provinces; the "AVAKids Smile Fund" campaign, which funded VND 5.5 billion for 550 surgeries for children with cleft lip and palate; connecting to build a sustainable supply chain; and partnering to bring quality products at reasonable prices to consumers.

Regarding Governance, MWG established the Sustainability Committee, directed by the Board of Directors, published the Sustainability Report according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, and implemented activities and systems to ensure business transparency.

In spreading the values of Sustainable Development, besides being in the “Top 50 Corporate Sustainability in Vietnam,” MWG has also achieved other recognitions such as: “Top 20 Companies with the Highest Sustainability Index in Vietnam 2023,” “Top 100 Best Places to Work in Vietnam 2023,” and “Top 10 Best Corporate Governance Enterprises 2023.”

These recognitions motivate MWG to continuously innovate, operate the company to the highest standards, become more transparent and modern, balance economic benefits with social responsibilities, and commit to a sustainable future, contributing to Vietnam's Net Zero 2050 goal.
